Well we have come to the end of another year and this one I swear was the fastest….I (Hedley Jones) have been given the task of managing this brand new blog……This is the beginning of it……..For a very long time many of our clients have told us over and over again….that they just love getting on the site…reviewing it…and looking at all the new photos…..Since we only post on our website only one or two photos per event or portrait session we felt this would be an additional taste of what we do….Many of our inspirations in the Photography world….people like Joe Buissink, Bambi Cantrell, Mike Colon, David Beckstead and Gene Higa…..all have the most wonderful Blogs…..which really allow you to learn who they are as people….and we wanted to join in……and share…..This is our year in review…….while adding all the things that happen to us on a weekly basis….We love what we do……We are very passionate about photography and love being Los Angeles Wedding Photographers along with shooting Portraits, Children, Boudoir Photography and Family Portraits in our Beverly Hills Studio…..We also have had the priviledge of shooting Destination Weddings where 2 of our favorites this year were Belize and Aspen ……..

A GIRL NAMED ROSANNA
“When I was at the WPPI offices doing the 8 x 10 Photo competition…..judging….Arlene Evans asked me if I might be interested in helping out a young woman who was terminally ill…She had always wanted to be a model but never had the opportunity ….The answer of course was yes…and I was honored to do that for Rosanna….”
MANDY MOORE CAME TO OUR STUDIO……
Rosanna came to our Studio with her step-mother Marianne, Arlene Evans from Rangefinder, Arlene’s sister Helene, Gay Walker the Executive Director of Trinity Kids Care and Actor/singer Mandy Moore …….so Mandy came to our studio in Beverly Hills…and everybody chipped in including Mandy’s makeup artist Matin Maulawizada of www.afghanhands.com…It was really amazing that Mandy Moore came by..She was just lovely…..and so giving….for coming and spending time with Rosanna…..and the experience of it all…..Everyone in our small studio…chipped in and the energy was just so high….It was about giving to a girl and making something so special happen for her….

DESTINATION WEDDING ASPEN, COLORADO……
Here are some fun pictures of Cherie and I……at a wedding we recently shot in Aspen……It was our December pre Christmas treat….to be in Aspen and shoot Holly Hall and Philip Rodriguez……They are a beautiful couple……Here are some treats from Aspen….Cherie and I and Holly and Philip….The first photo….is the engagement shoot we did back in October……..This couple were not only beautuful….but as wonderful, fun and exciting as they are in these romantic shots…..The Wedding in Aspen……got delayed….due to various things…..so we will shoot them again…in and around Los Angeles very soon….so stay tuned……!!!

JUDGING FOR WPPI CONTEST
In November Cherie was asked by Rangefinder Magazine to be a judge for the WPPI 8 x 10 Print Competition at their offices in Santa Monica….. among the other Judges was the well known Wedding Photographer, Bambi Cantrell from San Francisco, Skip Cohen, President of Rangefinder, Arlene Evans, Director of WPPI Operations and Editor Bill Hurter who was not there but was in spirit. “Bill Hurter was the one who suggested WPPI call me to be one of the judges. It was such an honor and a fabulous experience. Bambi and I were very close in our judging”.
Speaking of WPPI Cherie will be speaking to 350 photographers at WPPI (Wedding Portrait Photographers International) in Las Vegas this year. Cherie spoke about photography at WPPI last year and also at Photo Plus Expo in New York in November for Printroom.com who is a sponsor for CherieFoto.
She will be talking about style, technique and marketing in the 2007 Market of Portrait and Wedding Photography.
As a Los Angeles WeddingPhotographer she has put out quite a volume of work in four years….” I had to market myself in a new market and get the word out about my work. I am excited to go to Vegas to speak “…..I hear there will BELLYDANCERS…We will see!

We have been doing lots of other stuff and this Year we will be doing a a lot more Portraits in our studio……. we still love doing Wedding Photography but we have been really loving our studio work as well….We seem to be doing a lot of Advertising type work and more Editorial Photography….
WE just did a Brochure for Jason Sturman of KELLER WILLIAMS Real Estate …..we love doing pictures of architecture.

this girl sells Jet Planes and helicopters and drives a big truck…..Barbie as we call her is not only beautiful, but she is one of those rare people that you meet in life……that is genuine……Here are a few shots of her….for the cosmetic ad, with a big private helicopter and her big truck…..She is really funny…when she rolls into a truck stop and the truckers lose it….fun to watch….

one of our sponsors ……while we were there we ran into the late Gene Martin who is from New York….
Unfortunately Gene passed away in December…..He will be missed…..
We became friends with Gene Martin three years ago at WPPI
