This is a rather long story…..but it seems people like really long stories…so here we go….We had an amazing bride this year in April Taya who is a photographer and got married at the Union Station in Downtown LA…We loved this wedding on so many levels….Since Taya is also a Los Angeles wedding photographer (it is always a joy to shoot for another photographer, they really understand the job at hand and seem to pick the right things all around) she had the sensibility to find the right light and the ambience of an amazing place to get married…and it was all about the photos for her….After the wedding we started to talk a bit and she mentioned that nor only did her husband work at a refinery but she did as well as a pipe fitter…How cool is that…I laughed..and imagined…Well my mind went crazy since we am always looking to shoot in unusual locations in the Los Angeles area…..A shoot was born..We decided to go a do a “Trash the dress” location shoot there after the wedding and was pretty excited about that along…Then we started to think well maybe we will bring a couple of models…We are getting calls daily for models to shoot with us….so we felt ok..this was a great opportunity to do something really fun..It grew and grew….to the point where we had such a great team it was just one of the most fun and organized shoots we have ever done…from Khari, creative to Ali design and dressing to Yulitzen doing makeup to Hedley and myself and 4 amazing and beautiful women in clothes that rocked!!!! It was one of those magical days when mostly everything went well…..Always remember to get a shooting permit……That is all I am going to say about that!!!!..Except that we were going to shoot at sunset right in front of the refinery and there they were a team of people to stop us from shooting..After careful negotiating and some sweet pleading…we came to a good solution..and we got to get our shots….
