SOME NEW WORK AND IDEAS….

So we have been busy for the past 2 months on so many projects it is really hard to keep up…A lot of boudoir (things we cannot post…hahah) and so many different kinds of projects….it is really a fabulous trip……From celebrities to private girls school graduation…to speaking for lots of photographers, travel…and on and on…

Here are a few images….of a shoot we did recently for a company called Zen Arts…a fabulous performance company that travels worldwide to perform all their many talented performers from belly dancers to burlesque to fire dancers and on and on….Here we find the amazing Tali….Burlesque queen…..This particular shoot was really a dream come true for any photographer…!!!

LOOKING AT THE WEDDINGS PAST……..

Every once in a while we have to look back into images to find something for someone. My day started like that looking at a past wedding for a client through all the Los Angeles Weddings that we have done. We had to go back far. So as I was doing that I came across images that really never made it anywhere so I decided to past a few for some inspiration for weddings to come and Brides planning their wedding now. AN AMAZING PERSIAN JEWISH WEDDING

We had the total privilege and honor to shoot a Persian Jewish Wedding in Los Angeles at the Universal Sheraton last weekend and all I can say is that it was one of the highlights of my 2010 weddings. This year was really a year of some of the most cherished weddings we have shot in our career, mostly because we now seem to be shooting friends weddings or friends of friends now that we are established in the LA area and that is always amazing with such a warm feeling. We are so much apart of the wedding day. Our clients were not friends before the wedding but are now. To say that this wedding was fun and great to shoot would be really not explaining the depth of this day. The custom of the Jewish traditions, the Persian flavor and customs, the music the joy, the fun. It was a love fest and photo extravaganza. I could not shoot fast enough. There was a moment every moment from the beautiful Bride in her gown from Penache of Beverly Hills, her Badgley Mishka shoes to her gorgeous sister and 6 maids to the groom and his boys and their willingness to help make the pictures worth a 1000 words! The groom had a custom made suit from Requisite Clothing. Now we have to talk about the dancing and the music. Music and band by Pedram Music and to say this was a band and not elaborate would be a crime. I love music and all I can say is that Hedley and I were the last ones on the dance floor and that was after shooting for 12 hours. Do I have to say anything more? The Persians partied till 2 and everyone left at 3. I have been told if you go home before 3 at a Persian party it was not a good party so this was a great party. NAPA VALLEY V.SATTUI WEDDING

We are back from the holiday, from Burning Man from out of town and from our Social Media break due to travel and work. So we have so many things to post and tell you about so here is our first post in a long time. Our friends Holly and Steve got married last month at one of the most amazing Vineyards rated #1 in the Napa valley the V. Sattui Winery and believe me I can for sure tell you why they are # 1.This wedding was not only so beautiful and charming but so special to us since we have been friends with the Bride for many years. The trip up north, the wedding and the family, the details and the love was just the way a wedding should be. After the wedding on that Tuesday we also got to go out and play with these two in San Francisco and that was another day of love and fun fun fun shooting at San Francisco City Hall an OMG building, the Legion of Honor near Baker Beach and the Golden Gate Bridge. Holly had a plan for us (if you knew Holly she has the best plans and taste) so we just went along with her program and it worked out perfectly. So to Holly and Steve on their Napa Valley wedding and the San Francisco Trash the Dress shoot. It could not have been more fun for us!! Some images….

A COLORADO AFFAIR

Well I got a call froma very dear friend like by kid sister Renee…OMG..I am geting married..OMG…and I want you to come and shoot the wedding and OMG..can you be the Maid of Honor too…. too? My first instinct was Renee I cannot shoot and be the Maid of Honor too….That is just silly….but then I thought …ya but what a great angle in the maids line up…an angle us photogs never get….my mind starting spinning…yes I can do this..I can be a photog and shoot and tackle and handle being the Maid of Honor…yes i will do it…Well Renee would not let me carry the camera down the “isle” (we were on the top of a mountain at the edge of the cliff so the isle was not your traditional isle) but being the Maid of Honor and the photographer at the wedding was just about the coolest and most fun thing I have ever done at a wedding….When we arrived in Breckenridge and the wedding everyone had been well primed for Hedley and my entrance…We were well loved and everyone had looked at our work yada yada yada….So we kind fo really felt like little LA rock stars arriving in the sleepy Breck town at the top of an 11,000 ft peak…It was magical and majestic…The day was perfect not to mention the Bride had started drinking at about noon……

Renee was so much fun and such a playful Bride…Kicking her heels up all day long and her and Pete so loving with each other…It was the best of the best…Shooting a wedding for someone that you love so much is like a dream for a photographer…It will go down in my career as one of my very very fav weddings….Pete and Renee were so well suited for each other and even though I only met Pete this trip out at his wedding I feel like I have known him for years..What a wonderful man…He owns and operates Breckenridge Snow board shop on main street…ask for pete..and he does fishing in the summertime..Not so bad….

Well with all that said some pics…..

BTW..Hedley and I are never in pics…so I put a few up…..I guess after reviewing them we laughed our way through this wedding!!!

A Hindu Fusion Wedding!!!

I have been trying to blog a lot but I must say I cannot seem to keep up with the work, the blog, twitter and facebook these days….But the biggest deal is work…The economy seems to have for sure resolved itself and work is abundant and fast and furious….So we are doing so many wonderful projects it is hard to keep up with them all…Fashion, clothing shoots, weddings, portraits and boudoir and special assignments….and things we cannot even show yet….OMG….Here is however the last weekend wedding..that we truly loved…Rupa and Kurt and an Indian wedding and an elephant….I really fell for the elephant!!!

Rupa came in #2 to be an MTV VJ..She is such a light I cannot imagine who came in over her….She is a writer for Lost..and just such an amazing girl…You have to fall in love with her immediately….Kurt an investment banker..and such a smart guy to marry Rupa….What a beauty inside and out…..

I have been referring to the wedding as a Hindu Fusion Wedding.

A SANTA MONICA WEDDING

Mason and I met in college at USC. He was living with guys from the USC
volleyball team and they were throwing an end of the season party. I
went with the intention of meeting a strapping volleyball player but
fell for Mason, the funny yet equally attractive roommate instead.

We dated for almost 8 years before we got married in Grand Cayman on
February 26th on the beach in front of only 4 people.

That is where we came in…..We had done the most amazing boudoir pics with Mason’s Step Mom Yvette…You know the pic with the boot in the panties..Everyone loves that pic….When Yvette called me to do a simple Buffalo Club Reception..We jumped…Love the family…..Love Yvette..We had a ball….Some pics….

Bride & Bloom Magazine Does It Again!!!

The story starts with a lovely girl named Vanessa….!!
We met we fell in love and it turned out that not only did she have a wolf for a pet but she also had a scrapyard….Well what can I say…..and she also said to me “you can shoot there any time you like”…That was music to my ears and my brain just went into overdrive…A photographers dream…meeting someone that believes in your work..and offers so generously the use of her resources!!…It was really a magical day….It rained for 5 days before the shoot…We could not figure out whether we should cancel this entire silly idea…After all we were shooting Bridal gowns in a scrapyard..how silly..and would it rain in the middle of the shoot….OMG…What was this place going to look like after that..and of course we needed to keep the gowns all very clean…It seemed like an impossible task..It was an impossible task actually!!…When we arrived at 8am…it was very dismal indeed….Overcast…raining and very, very wet…There were large pools of water, mud etc. etc……….But you know it all seemed actually really really cool…The team was amazing…The makeup girl Dorrit, the hair girl Tine…Very international Italian and Danish..I knew I was in good hands….Scarlett the model..and Rose from B&B…to guide us through it all…..Carol and Herb showed up too..It was a family affair…Vanessa the host and Timber the wolf….We were in the zone…It was so fun….
