Cloris Leachman (born April 30, 1926) is an American actress of stage film and television. She has won eight primetime Emmy Awards—more than any other female performer—and one Daytime Emmy Award. She won an Academy Award for Best SupportingActress in the 1971 film The Last Picture Show. She is best known for playing the nosy, self-centered and manipulative landlady Phyllis Lindstrom on the 1970s TV series Mary Tyler Moore, and later on the spin-off series, Phyllis. She also appeared in three Mel Brooks films, including Young Frankenstein and High Anxiety. In recent years, she became very popular for her recurring role as Lois’s ruthless mother Ida, on Malcolm in the Middle. She currently stars in the new hit comedy Raising Hope (FOX), where she plays the wacky grandmother “Maw Maw” to the delight of audiences. Cloris has been nominated recently for her role in Raising Hope….I loved Cloris in the Mary Tyler Moore Show…..One of my all time fav sows…..When I was a kid….

We had the total delight of photographing her recently in our studio and can I say that it was such an amazing experience to photograph such an amazing professional actress and show girl…Thank you Cloris for putting up with us…..

What do you say about a beautiful Bride and a very handsome Groom, great Bridesmaids and Groomsmen, fabulous family…
You say what a dream come true for a wedding photographer….!!

That is what happened this weekend where the weather was amazing a little overcast but of course we look at differently than most people…for the pics it was perfect…..

This Bridesmaid shot is one of my favs from the wedding….
They actually set up this shot so perfectly for me!!

SOME NEW WORK AND IDEAS….

So we have been busy for the past 2 months on so many projects it is really hard to keep up…A lot of boudoir (things we cannot post…hahah) and so many different kinds of projects….it is really a fabulous trip……From celebrities to private girls school graduation…to speaking for lots of photographers, travel…and on and on…

Here are a few images….of a shoot we did recently for a company called Zen Arts…a fabulous performance company that travels worldwide to perform all their many talented performers from belly dancers to burlesque to fire dancers and on and on….Here we find the amazing Tali….Burlesque queen…..This particular shoot was really a dream come true for any photographer…!!!

LOOKING AT THE WEDDINGS PAST……..

Every once in a while we have to look back into images to find something for someone. My day started like that looking at a past wedding for a client through all the Los Angeles Weddings that we have done. We had to go back far. So as I was doing that I came across images that really never made it anywhere so I decided to past a few for some inspiration for weddings to come and Brides planning their wedding now. CATCHING UP ON EVERYTHING!!

So as you can see the blog has gone back burner..Not because I want it to…Just because OMG who has time for everything these days…In between shooting and traveling everything else seems to take so much time…Anyone else having this issue? Love to hear from you…..Just got back from WPPI…..Talked for Nikon at their booth..was such a highlight as always…We had 2 images up at the booth that Nikon blew up large….So fun to see that…Pics coming on that…Recent work…Just catching everyone up on that so this is a bunch of different shoots over the past month….From fashion to portraits, to babies to D3100 shoot for Nikon…to Boudoir to Venetian Masks….There is a very wide variety here..as you can see….Hope you enjoy…Working on a huge fashion shoot the next few days..Will keep you all posted….

We shot a wonderful camera for Nikon the D3100 a very cool consumer camera very small compact good for travel and just carrying a camera..and makes kick ass movies…..will load that soon……Our little model is a girl name Monserrat…..She was a pro…and she had a great time taking these images and doing the movie…Look out Hollywood for her….She is a star……

a girl named Dani…We did a modeling portfolio for Dani..and think she will be an amazing model..She is actually doing her first fashion shoot with us…This weekend….We loved her so much…..Go Dani….

This is our good friend Lacey Lee..carrying Lily Lee…..To come here in May……We had the pleasure of
shooting our good friend Lacy and her guy Jordon…The baby daddy…..last week….Here in LA..They came from NYC
to shoot and have the baby shower which we also went to…It is so much fun to see friends adopted nieces and the
kids just growing up and living large……We are super good friends with the almost Grandmother Lori Susan…!!!

More babies…more babies…Well I guess after we do all the weddings the babies come and then we get to see
our Bride’s and Groom’s again finally…This was Shira and Scott…We did their wedding a couple of years ago and lost
contact and then there they were ready for baby pics……

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS!!!

So over the years hanging out in Beverly Hills it just happens that you will happen across real housewives of Beverly Hills…We have been so crazed busy out of town New York, Manila (will get to that later) that there has been no time for blogging..To much work..and fun actually…..I have had this folder on my desktop for months..and I finally can breath a bit so I thought I would post some of the pics over the years we shot of some of the Housewives we had the “pleasure’” of crossing paths with….They say a picture is worth a thousand words well each pic has 1000 words to describe which is not going to happen here..There would be pages of stories…….As Lisa Vanderpump says “Beverly Hills is all about who you know”…..So here are a few pics….We got to meet Adrienne Maloof and her hubby Paul, Kelsey and Camille Grammer and Paris Hilton’s Aunt Kyle Richards…..The photo of Kyle is particularly cool I think..and I love the photoj pic of Adrianne and Oliver Stone…Was at their Xmas party a few years ago….I gave Adrienne a pic of her son all printed amazing as a gift….all she said was…”You cannot see his face.”….Have a peek at the Santa pic below and let me know what you think!!!…..So as photographers here are some of the pics from the meetings with the three housewives out of the 6 we met….So far!!!

OLDEST CEMETERY IN NEW ORLEANS…SHOOT

So we were so lucky to be able to go to the New Orleans to do the After Dark Education Seminars…..Our first trip for them….and be able to learn, teach and hang in one of my favorite cities of all time….The Big Easy….We planned 2 shoots for the After Dark group…..and one shoot in the cemetery after the After Dark seminar finished…Here are some pics from that shoot…If you want to get a ton of ideas and learn so much about photography from some great mentors sign up for the After Dark seminars…..One of the most fun experiences we have done….Check them out…www.afterdark.com

FAMILY XMAS PORTRAITS AND JUST A LOT OF FUN!!!

We had the pleasure of shooting Jennifer and Wade for their wedding and an engagement shoot before the wedding..They are the couple being oh so cute in or studio..and Wade is grabbing at Jen’s behind!!!…Anyways. since the wedding in Pebble beach 2 years ago they now have an addition to the family along with their 12 year old son Alex. Roman is his name and wow what a cute cute baby boy! So we made a plan for Jen, Wade and Alex and oh yes Roman to come down from Northern Cal so we could shoot them in the studio…..It was one of the most fun days..I had a plan for them and Jennifer made it all happen perfectly from their side..Hedley and I prepared on this side doing a few new things and having some ideas of how the day was going to go..We planned on the studio shoot and then on to the pier in Santa Monica. Here are a few shots. One of them will end up as a xmas card…Let me know which one u like…

2010 VISIONARY BALL UCLA

We attended the UCLA Neurosurgery Visionary Ball which took place the evening of October 14, 2010, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills just a few blocks from our CherieFoto studio.
Our good friend and extraordinary woman Joan Dangerfield (one of the real gems of LA) and widow of the late and great Rodney Dangerfield was there to present the Rodney Respect Award which is always given at this annual event. This year’s recipient was the lovable Louie Anderson.
Extra was there with Mario Lopez as the emcee. We have been shooting with him over at Extra at their new home at the Grove for the past few weeks.
The evening was capped with performances by one of the honorees, Burt Bacharach, music legend and one of the most prolific songwriters of all time. Bacharach played piano and sang his hit “Alfie.” Herb Alpert (the “A” in A&M Records) performed “This Guy Is In Love With You,” also another Bacharach hit. The evening was a great success with over two million dollars raised for research and expansion. The stories of successful surgeries performed at this amazing facility were heartfelt and truly miraculous. Where people would have had a life of paralysis, UCLA brought them back to living normal lives…you can read more here:
