THE DAY I WENT TO THE MANSION

I was searching on my computer as I do so often quickly on this American Labor Day…and OMG this popped up…It was a few years ago but one of the fondest memories I had coming to LA and ending up at the Mansion to shoot what was going on for a European Photo group….It was actually one of the coolest things I have done in LA and Hef and the girls were amazing a lot younger it seems for a few years ago…Hef was a dream come true and the love and electricity around him unforgettable…He was such a light and so loved….Everyone lovely, sweet and ready to pose for a photo….”The Girls Next Door” were just starting….and seen then before I had ever seen the show I could see the girls were really lovely and Hef and them ad a great bond at this affair….Maybe you will recognize the..Playmate of the Year…and remind me who it was….I am not up on my Bunnies….!!! Enjoy….Lots of Weddings and Boudoir shoots coming up..It has been a record whirlwind summer….So blogging, FB etc…falls behind while making images….Enjoy Labor Day….!!!

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT KAYA & SADIE….

America’s Got Talent is such a fun show and watching it the other night I was very happy to say that I saw an old friend who made it to the top 30 I think finalists on the show….It has been my pleasure to have shot Kaya for many years before her TV debut on America’s Got Talent show…..Some pics from the past of her in the beginning of her belly dance journey……..Here is one in the Red Rocks of Colorado…..and as a model in the back streets of Denver….

As far as out blog posts…Well all I have to say is the we have been on the road, shooting almost everyday…and blogging has just not been possible…Back from journeys and shoots so will start again….We have weddings, portraits, fashion and boudoir to post….Stay tuned!!!

A Hindu Fusion Wedding!!!

I have been trying to blog a lot but I must say I cannot seem to keep up with the work, the blog, twitter and facebook these days….But the biggest deal is work…The economy seems to have for sure resolved itself and work is abundant and fast and furious….So we are doing so many wonderful projects it is hard to keep up with them all…Fashion, clothing shoots, weddings, portraits and boudoir and special assignments….and things we cannot even show yet….OMG….Here is however the last weekend wedding..that we truly loved…Rupa and Kurt and an Indian wedding and an elephant….I really fell for the elephant!!!

Rupa came in #2 to be an MTV VJ..She is such a light I cannot imagine who came in over her….She is a writer for Lost..and just such an amazing girl…You have to fall in love with her immediately….Kurt an investment banker..and such a smart guy to marry Rupa….What a beauty inside and out…..

I have been referring to the wedding as a Hindu Fusion Wedding.

ENGAGEMENT SHOOT ON MALIBU BEACH

The story of Rupa a beautiful Indian girl and her fiance Kurt…..

So I was hosting this Halloween party at a pretty hip club in NYC. (Back when I was actually cool and almost an MTV VJ.:)) I had told a co-worker of mine about this party and he quickly suggested that I invite his daughter’s good friend. See, I didn’t believe in set-ups at the time but I trusted my co-worker so I invited Kurt and his friend to the party.

I remember sitting at a table with a few college friends in my princess costume. (Is there ANY surprise that I was dressed as a princess?) Then, I remember seeing this cute guy walk inside wearing, wait for it…a tooth fairy costume. Wings, tights, tutu, and a large fake arm tattoo (which i later found was his way to stil show face.) Anyway, I finally discovered that this BRAVE individual was Kurt. We talked for a couple of minutes and I just remember how cool and down to earth he was. He called me the next day and asked me out. Two cities, two grad schools, and two dogs later, I think it’s time to make him my official best friend in life.

A SANTA MONICA WEDDING

Mason and I met in college at USC. He was living with guys from the USC
volleyball team and they were throwing an end of the season party. I
went with the intention of meeting a strapping volleyball player but
fell for Mason, the funny yet equally attractive roommate instead.

We dated for almost 8 years before we got married in Grand Cayman on
February 26th on the beach in front of only 4 people.

That is where we came in…..We had done the most amazing boudoir pics with Mason’s Step Mom Yvette…You know the pic with the boot in the panties..Everyone loves that pic….When Yvette called me to do a simple Buffalo Club Reception..We jumped…Love the family…..Love Yvette..We had a ball….Some pics….

Bride & Bloom Magazine Does It Again!!!

The story starts with a lovely girl named Vanessa….!!
We met we fell in love and it turned out that not only did she have a wolf for a pet but she also had a scrapyard….Well what can I say…..and she also said to me “you can shoot there any time you like”…That was music to my ears and my brain just went into overdrive…A photographers dream…meeting someone that believes in your work..and offers so generously the use of her resources!!…It was really a magical day….It rained for 5 days before the shoot…We could not figure out whether we should cancel this entire silly idea…After all we were shooting Bridal gowns in a scrapyard..how silly..and would it rain in the middle of the shoot….OMG…What was this place going to look like after that..and of course we needed to keep the gowns all very clean…It seemed like an impossible task..It was an impossible task actually!!…When we arrived at 8am…it was very dismal indeed….Overcast…raining and very, very wet…There were large pools of water, mud etc. etc……….But you know it all seemed actually really really cool…The team was amazing…The makeup girl Dorrit, the hair girl Tine…Very international Italian and Danish..I knew I was in good hands….Scarlett the model..and Rose from B&B…to guide us through it all…..Carol and Herb showed up too..It was a family affair…Vanessa the host and Timber the wolf….We were in the zone…It was so fun….

We have the absolute pleasure of shooting the wedding of Oakland Raiders #45 Marcel Reece and his Fiance Tera Whilley…..This was from a sexy Engagement shoot in our LA Studio…I love hot couples and this is definitely one hot couple…….Looking forward to the July wedding….at the Los Angeles Theatre!!!!
