A couple of years ago we did a wedding of a beautiful girl and a very handsome groom….They had a friend from Kenya…and she had a friend who just gor married…I got a call from her…requesting that we shoot for a newly engaged couple Carol and Kris…The story was really magical..Here was a beautiful Kenyan girl marrying an Orange County boy..They looked different but it turned out they were really very much alike and were very much in love…When I met them I knew no mater what I wanted to be apart of this day for them and experience the joy and the unusual customs and vibe….I said yes..and the rest is a great story of so much love and so much acceptance that it made me think that this wedding was a small microcosm of the way the world needed to be..It was the thing that dreams are made of..It is the Aquarian age….It is pure love and devotion and respect….Both Christians from majorly different parts of the globe…But still feeling the same about most things Carol and Kris fell in love the first time they saw each other….Carol made it clear that she just loved Kris and how he looked..He was so cute…

LOS ANGELES ENGAGEMENT SHOOT

It is sometimes not the easiest thing to figure out where to shoot your engagement shoots. My couple Jenai and Tony have been living outside LA for some time and really did not have any ideas about where to shoot but they wanted to shoot outside. After getting to know them they are such a fashion thinking couple and very LA. We finally decided on a wall that I have loved for sometime and also it is the wall and door of a very hip Hollywood club called The Green Door. The Green Door seems to be always in the news and I had just seen it on the show Entourage. Jenai my beautiful Bride showed up with her Christian Louboutin shoes in toe!! We had a great engagement shoot and we all learned alot about each other and my couple felt really comfortable in front of the camera….It will be an amazing wedding in October at the Biltmore Hotel. It is an American/Indain wedding and will be colorful and beautiful. Let me know if anyone has been to The Green Door!!….

Check out Dr. Fisher on “Keeping up with the Kardashians” this week…We shot his wedding not so long ago….Here are a few of the pics. He married Jessica Conseco who was once married to Jose Conseco and they had a beautiful daughter….Of course Garth was married and had two daughters with Brook Burke of Dancing with the stars fame!!…The wedding was full of Playboy bunnies since Jessica was a bunny and the guests included very well known plastic surgeons and playboy bunnies…A match made in heaven…A very LA wedding…..and so much fun!!!!

Hernan and Travis…….On September 12th…..We had the most fun shooting Hernan and Travis’s lovely wedding………They were the most wonderful couple….The wedding was at Disney Hall……….Patina Group made the most amazing food as always!!!……….Their family and friends were amazing…coming all the way from South America and Ohio……….We had a blast…….especially when Hernan surprised Travis with the USC Band…….who are so great, funny and entertaining……Thank you boys for inviting us to be apart of this very significant wedding……….2008 is such a great year………in so many ways………!!!!

The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel Wedding of Ashley & Adam was one of the most wonderful Orange County weddings. Not only was the wedding of two people that clearly loved and adored each other but the location, the amazing wedding design by Linda Pitelli of Eventful the stunning dress by Vera Wang, the floral by Asiel Design, and the inventive and unique wedding details by Revelry Event Designers

It was not only the perfect day for a wedding on the lawn overlooking the ocean, but the families on both sides could not have been nicer to photograph. A photographers dream wedding all the way. Down to the perfect weather!!

THE JOYS OF BLOGGING…

Here at Cheriefoto…Life has been crazy busy…..We have done so many projects it is impossible to get all of them in this blog…..Our time has been spent..shooting on a daily basis…..which leaves little time to blog….Between weddings, commercial shoots, and special assignments….It has been an incredible 6 months….We have done jobs for Disney (shooting the Men of Wysteria Lane – Desperate Housewives) and an amazing shoot with a Bride in a wedding dress….for Disney…..Nikon asked us to do a shoot…All of these we cannot even post anything about yet…but it is all coming soon…photos and all….!!…We promise…In between coming and going in and out of town….I will catch up I think in early July…

We had the privilege of shooting this amazing Japanese Wedding at La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes http://www.laventa.com…One of my favorite small venues for a beautiful wedding..overlooking the Pacific Ocean..on a clear day it is the most beautiful place on earth…Whenever I shoot there…I think…This is why I moved to Southern California!!!
